Based in Melbourne but originally from New Zealand, Jamie has delivered many workshops at a range festivals in Australia and New Zealand over the years including the 2009 Windjam in Tasmania. He has also frequented the traditional Irish music sessions in New Sydney Hotel in Hobart in the past, and is a little familiar with the Tasmanian crowd. Jamie has delivered private lessons for Anglo Concertina for 15 years. In 2026 he will teach Anglo Concertina at the Deloraine Celtic Music School for beginners in a one-hour class, and Anglo Concertina for Intermediate to Advanced players in a longer class. Elective: Jamie will discuss session structure, instrument contributions, timing, volume, where to sit etc.. and how to get more enjoyment from playing together. On Sunday, Jamie will lead the slow session where groups can share and play newly learned tunes. All instruments welcome.
